Welcome to stolenpixel.com - the photoblog of amateur enthusiast photographer, Daniel Viney.
stolenpixel.com is, most simply, a collection of moments that I have captured in my local surrounds in Queensland, Australia; and my travels throughout differing parts of this sun burnt country and the world.
Please feel free to communicate directly with me via email: daniel [at] stolenpixel [dot] com.
I request that you gain my permission prior to reproducing, in any form, any of the images you have found at stolenpixel.com. This is not a time consuming or difficult task (just email me), instead it is simply common courtesy.
I am shooting almost exclusively with a Canon IXUS 55 (click for tech spec) and I must admit, I've been absolutely blown away by the functionality of this tiny device.
Any photograph not shot on the IXUS 55 has been shot on either an Apple iPhone or with a Nokia N95 mobile phone. The N95 mobile phone takes very detailed photographs, but has some loss of colour in the images. The Apple iPhone takes reasonable images and captures colours well, however requires a good deal of light to not be "grainy".
Images from stolenpixel.com have been used by the Sunshine Coast Daily on numerous occassions; and also by Channel Seven's Local News.
I was happy to be awarded the coveted, and quirky, "Dreamhost SOTM" award for February, 2007.
